Programs & Information

Beaches
Beach hours are 7 AM until 9 PM at Lambert's Cove Beach and 6 AM until 9 PM at Seth's Pond. Lifeguards will be on duty at Lambert's Cove Beach from 10 AM until 5 PM daily, from Saturday, June 23, 2018 through Labor Day. There will not be a lifeguard at Seth's Pond, although the pond is available for swimming at your own risk. Times subject to change. Please respect the carry-on/carry-off trash policy. No glass containers of any kind.

Lambert's Cove Beach stickers go on sale Saturday, June 16, 2018. They are sold at the Park and Rec shed at the West Tisbury School tennis courts daily from 9 AM until 12 PM and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4 PM until 7 PM.

New for the 2018 season: A similar colored walk on pass will be given to sticker holders at the time of purchase. This must be shown if you park up Lambert’s Cove Rd. A different color walk on pass is available for those arriving by bus or bike.

Long Point
Long Point is a Trustees of the Reservation property open to the general public on a first come first serve basis. Trustees membership can be purchased at the gatehouse. For more information call 508-693-7392

Car Beach Sticker    $50.00
Parking and car passenger beach access.

Walk-On Pass            $10.00
Beach access for one adult and their children under 16. It does not allow parking in the lot or along Lambert's Cove Road. Stickers and Walk-On Passes are sold for the season, monthly, or for the term of your lease; please bring your lease or proof of residency.

Commercial Pass            $75.00
Inns or Guest Houses in West Tisbury may purchase passes at the commercial rate for the number of rooms within the establishment. New Inns and Guest Houses must apply to the Parks & Recreation Committee for commercial status.

Bus Transportation
MV Transit Authority operates bus service to Seth's Pond and Lambert's Cove Beach with ample parking at the Charter School on State Road.. You must show a Walk-On Pass to the parking lot attendant in order to gain access to the beach. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Basketball Camp
There will be three sessions of instructional basketball for boys and girls grades 5-9 beginning Monday, July 9, 2018. Basketball camp is 9am-12pm.

Soccer Camp
There will be three sessions of instructional soccer for boys and girls grades 5-9 beginning Monday, July 9, 2018. Soccer camp is 1pm-4pm.

Swimming Program
Learn to swim! Strengthen your strokes! Parks and Recreation offers free Red Cross certified swim lessons for children at Uncle Seth's Pond, starting Monday, July 9, 2018. Classes will be scheduled 4 mornings a week, Monday through Thursday. All levels will be taught from beginner to advanced. Sign up at the West Tisbury School tennis shed daily between 9am-12pm and Friday through Sunday from 4pm-7pm.

Tennis Court Reservations Tennis courts at the West Tisbury School may be reserved "in season" at the tennis shed daily from 9am-12pm and Friday through Sunday from 4pm-7pm. To make a court reservation via phone, please call 508-693-1718 during tennis shed hours. Court fee is $20 per hour or you can purchase a key for the season for $50.

Baseball
West Tisbury has two ball fields. To schedule a time, please call the Parks and Recreation office at 508-696-0147. There is a registration fee of $25 per single use, $100 for one day per week/per season, $200 for two days per week/per season and $300 for three days or more per week/per season. Please respect the trash policy of "carry-on/carry off."

Night Fishing
A limited number of night fishing parking permits will be issued for fishing at Lambert's Cove Beach. This free pass will allow parking in the beach parking lot between the hours of 9 PM and 7 AM. Applications are available at the new Park and Rec shed at the West Tisbury School tennis courts daily from 9am-12pm.
