ANIMAL CONTROL
Annual town meeting April 9, 2013
ARTICLE 19: To see if the Town will vote to accept Chapter 369 of the Acts of 2002, which will exempt a person age 70 or over, who owns a dog, from being charged a license fee. The owner will still be required to license the dog.
PASSED (RECOMMENDED 5-0)
Whoever owns, keeps or boards animals such as, but not limited to cows, horses, oxen, pigs, llamas, sheep or goats shall provide and maintain adequate enclosures to keep the animals confined to the properties on which they belong. If the animals(s) are found loose or stray by the Animal Control Officer, the owner or keeper of said animal(s) shall be considered in violation of this bylaw. Whoever violates this bylaw shall be punished by a fine of $100.00 for the first offense, $200.00 for the second offense and $300.00 for the third and subsequent offenses.
